EPIC Plus Programmer

The pocket-sized EPIC Plus Programmer quickly and easily programs most PICmicro microcontrollers. The basic programmer includes an 18-pin socket for programming 8, 14 and 18 pin PICmicro MCUs. Optional ZIF adapters can be found here.

EPIC Programmer

Features
  • Low cost programmer for most PIC microcontrollers
  • Powered by an optional adapter (recommended) or two 9-volt batteries
  • Connects to PC parallel printer port
  • Software upgradeable for future PICmicro microcontrollers
  • Includes "8051" style PICmicro MCU macro assembler
  • Available assembled and tested

The EPIC Plus Programmer is software upgradeable for future PICmicro microcontrollers. It includes DOS and Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000 programming software and a PICmicro MCU macro assembler that works with both the Microchip mnemonics and "8051" style mnemonics. Or you may use it with MPASM, "C", PicBasic, PicBasic Pro or Proton BASIC.

The programmer runs off two 9-volt batteries or the recommended adapter (for use in the UK, we recommend a regulated 15VDC, 500mA supply). It plugs into the PC parallel printer port using an optional 25-pin male to 25-pin female parallel printer extension cable. A serial cable may not have all the necessary connections so be sure to use a parallel printer extension cable. A 10-pin expansion header on the EPIC Plus Programmer allows in-circuit programming using a development board, a ZIF adapter or you can use your own custom circuit.
