PICBlock MC18D

The MC18D is designed for use with 18 PICmicro® MCUs from Microchip. The MC18D provides 6 buffered and filtered inputs to cope with a range of input voltages and noisy environments. It has 6 open collector digital outputs which can sink a maximum of 500ma each. Power can be either AC or DC and both the rectified DC and the regulated 5V supply are available for driving external circuits. An on-board reset button is provided as is space for output pull-up resistors, should they be required.

The board has a compact footprint of only 81mm x 66mm x 22mm. As with other products in the PICBlock range the MC18D is a completely assembled board utilising quality components on a PTH ground planed PCB requiring only the addition of a 18 pin chip and the end user’s program. Ideal for development, it can also be utilised as part of a finished system and is also an ideal replacement for PLC modules.
