Simply plug these microcontrollers into the FLASH Lab onboard socket and you're ready to go. Please remember that the oscillator speed on the FLASH lab must match the bootloader speed. For example, if the FLASH Lab is running at 20MHz, your PIC 16F877A or 18F452 must be configured to run at this speed. The exception to this rule is the 18F452 running at 40MHz, which requires an oscillator running at 10MHz.

Don't forget, if you have your own PIC programmer, you can easily program your own FLASH Lab MCUs. The firmware is included with the FLASH Lab system.
